Thanks Louise! I got started illustrating for Rookie when Kelly Abeln http://kellyabeln.tumblr.com/ - who has been an illustrator for them for a long while - passed along a link to my tumblr to the editors. They liked my stuff, and being asked to work for them was a very happy surprise.
I’ve been drawing my whole life, and even though most of what I do is for myself, I love sharing what I do online, because over the years I’ve found the community of artists online to be really supportive and fun.
